Welcome to the special, the Italy International Academy twenty twenty two, Tarmina Gourmet, and Mount Aetna Gites Colastica series. The last week of October took a team of our staff and fifteen Vine International Academy ambassadors to the annual Taourmina Gourmet event posted by Konacadigusto, and then on to explore several vineyards and wines on Mount Aetna. Of course, we documented the whole experience. Listen in as Cynthia Chaplin narrates her travel adventures. And remember, if you prefer written content, just go to our blog on Italian wine podcast dot com, now onto the show. Our last day in towermina as the towermina Gourmet event drew to a close. The morning saw via ambassadors participating in short sessions on French Acorta, Aetna Bianco and winemakers under thirty. After lunch, we all made the most of the walk around tasting space showcasing fifty top wineries from all over Italy. The guide to Aetna wines published by Cronique de Gusto was a welcoming parting gift, great preparation for the next few days visiting wineries on Aetna. Everyone paid close attention to the award ceremony at five PM, picking out our favorite producers, wineries will visit in the following days, and the winning wines we all want to taste. After the long drive to lingualosa, we were privileged to have dinner at Statella Park with five producers from the region, along with several Italian journalists. An endless spread of food included buffalo ricotta, thin strips of roasted donkey meat, prickly pears, and many more interesting dishes too numerous to list. Producers generously provided a variety of their wines, which allowed us all to calibrate our palates to Aetna. Best of all, it was a relaxed evening of chatting with colleagues, sharing our experiences and thoughts from tower, Nina Gourmet, networking, and bonding for our via community. Best moment, raising our glasses to celebrate Andrea Ebbie, an Italian wine Ambassador for her happy result in the master of wine theory exam. Congrats to you once again.
