Welcome to this special series dedicated to slow wine held in bologna in March twenty twenty three. During the fair, we conducted several inter views with some very exciting producers. We were able to pull out some of the more interesting elements of Italian wine within the slow wine movement, tune in each week on Italian wine podcast. We are back again with another producer here at slow line and so food. Here we have Marina Morry from the Cantina San Marino. Yes. Exactly. How are you? Fine. Fine. Thank you. Okay. So I'm gonna ask you some questions here. Can you tell me what you do at the cantina? Yes. I'm an employer, of course, of a cantina San Marino, and I follow different, phases of the production from the harvest the making of the wine itself. I also sell, the shop as a shop assistant. So you do a little bit of everything. Yes. Okay. And, can you tell me a little bit about where your Cantina is located? Our winery is in San Marino. It's the only one winery in our country, and it's in the medium part of San Marino, not on the top of the mountain. Like, the location is, called the Val dragone. Val dragone is close to rimini, you said. Yes. Amarino is, it's close to rimini. Okay. And can you tell me a little bit about the history, just a little bit? Of the winery when it started, maybe. The birth of the winery is dated nineteen seventy five. But, it has been a continuous process of, growth with, all the farmers that collaborate, cooperate, and then the the growing is still is still going on. Okay. And so what would the most important principal grade that you grow? There are many grapes in in San Marino. Of course, talking about the red ones, it's a Santa Vise. The mostly, our red wines are made by San division. And talking about the white ones, we have, biancale, ribola, but also some international grapes, like, cardonnay, for the red ones, for example, for pinot and pinot nero and so on. So what would your signature wine be? The most important wine that you have? I think that our bruneto is is very very known and appreciated, and it's a red wine made from, Santa Fe. Okay. Do you export that abroad? Yes, sir. We will also exports, our wines in Japan, Japan. Yes. Something also on on a European States, America too. And, we are we're getting known on a your country is a So what brought you to slow wine? Because you know how they say it's one of polito Guisto. I probably said that in the wrong order. How does that reflect? How does your wine reflect? Those three things. Of course, those principles are, very important to us. It's fundamental to produce, rape, respecting nature, respecting, environment. So the many, many vineyards are, becoming, organic. So we we started them in two thousand nineteen to produce our first organic wine. And our, our farmers are working hard to make the the process more and more sustainable, for, for everything. Okay.
