Summary This episode of the Italian Wine Podcast, titled ""Everybody Needs a Bit of Shenza,"" features host Stevie Kim and Chief Scientist Atilah Shienza from Vinitaly International Academy. The segment's premise involves VIA community members submitting questions for Professor Shienza, who struggles with English, making Stevie Kim's role crucial in managing the conversation. In this particular snippet, Vanessa Green, an Italian Wine Ambassador from Australia, asks about Nebbiolo and its ""little sister"" Freisa, seeking other similar complex red grape varieties and recommendations for interesting Freisa wines. The podcast unfortunately cuts off before Professor Shienza can provide his answer. The hosts then discuss the success of the podcast, noting 200,000 listens last year, and propose a ""Chitaskolastica"" (scholarly chat/tour) at Vinitaly for the VIA group. Takeaways - The Italian Wine Podcast hosts a unique Q&A segment with a non-English-speaking Chief Scientist, Atilah Shienza. - The podcast actively engages with its community, particularly Italian Wine Ambassadors and experts. - A specific question was posed regarding the characteristics of Nebbiolo and Freisa grapes and seeking similar varieties. - The podcast has achieved significant listenership for a specialized niche. - There is an idea to organize an educational tour (""Chitaskolastica"") at Vinitaly for the VIA community. Notable Quotes - ""Everybody needs a bit Shenza edition of the Italian Wine Podcast."
