Okay. We're back. You know, this is where I got married. You probably don't know. I got married probably before you were born. How old are you? I'm twenty nine. Twenty nine. And what is your name? I'm Victoria Frascobaldi. Are you are you by chance related to the Friscobaldi family? Yeah. Yes. I am. Today, my father is the current president of Fascobaldi. Lamberto, Fiscobaldi. Your hashtag is going to be baby Fiscobaldi. Oh, I'm loving it. Okay. Have you got siblings? Yes. I have a younger sister and a younger brother. And are they in wine as well? Well, currently, my sister is more in to the Champagne business, I would say. She won't. She's fine. Yes. And my brother just finished university. So he's gonna get into the game quite sooner, I think. So Victoria, your your grandfather's name is also Yes. Right. Is that how it works? You take your grandfather's name? I can't remember. My my my father has his grandfather's name, and I have my grandfather's name. So supposedly, I I'm gonna name my son number after two, but, you know, not Yeah. No credit. That's it. So listen, Victoria. So we are here, in, this on premise event. Kind of it's it's a bit I have to say. It's a bit are to find an on premer event, on premer Bordeaux in Verona. Mhmm. So what is this all about? So, basically, today I work for a French company. I live in Bordeaux, and I work in Bordeaux, though. I worked for Crudemann de France, which belongs to Grange de France, which one is it's one of the biggest producer of wine of cremeaux and and in in France. They have many different domains and chateaus, twenty two in bordeaux. Crude de France specifically works with all the grand cru wines on the place de bordeaux. So, and today, I represent the company. I'm the expert manager for some countries in Europe as well as Italy. And that's why today, this is our second year of this event. Last year due to COVID, we decided to to move Bordeaux to Italy because usually people go to Bordeaux, but since one could go there. We decided to bring Bordeaux here. But we had, on Pramon Bordeaux, this year that I did. So you think you will continue this tradition? I think the success that we had last year, and the excitement we were able to create with the Italian public and the Italian operators in terms of import import imports and distribution and, lovers, I would say, really sparked so much interest, in terms of what burdock can bring to them. So since last year, we had so many people asking us to redo the same event. And we couldn't say no. Right. And we get invited to these kind of events. So, naturally, naturally, the amenity of Ampremer. Yeah. It's for who Potential buyers. Right. Potential buyers. So mostly porters and distributors. So we those are the ones, but are already passionate about wines that are they have a huge passion for bordeaux and a love for equality, I would say. Because Italian's love quality. We we tended to drink only quality. We're only suspended for quality. So that's why Bordeaux and Amkhana resonates so much with Italian community today. So tell me a little bit. Give me a skinny recap of what's going on here today. How many wines? Are you enjoying this podcast? Don't forget to visit our YouTube channel, mama jumbo shrimp, for fascinating videos covering Stevie Kim, and her travels across Italy and beyond, meeting winemakers, eating local food, and taking in the scenery. Now back to the show. Yes. So we were lucky enough since the I'm coming back to board of this year, we were lucky enough to still have a hundred chateaus to give us samples. And, as well, Chateaufishe actually decided today to be with us because of the amazing return on press and reviews that we had last year. So this became quite a very qualities event in the eyes of everyone. So is Phishak's the only representative producing? Yes. To to for for VCO, yes. Yeah. Next year, We have already some ideas of how we can, always improve on, on, on, on, on the event naturally. But, yes, Fiji is the only one this year for now. And so this today, the event started at ten, and we had two master classes with, Luca Gardini, the ex best, of the world in twenty ten. And then in the afternoon, we're gonna have other three master classes with, Gabrielle Gorelli. But, no, we're so lucky, but they are here because the passion of the headphone wines, really resonates with all the clients and people who are are able to listen to them today. So they're quite an amazing support, and we're very lucky to have them here today. Okay. So have you already set the date for next year? Will will it be back in Verona? Yes. Everyone ask asking me why therona. Yeah. Why therona? Why therona? Because, you know, everyone knows For me, why not Veronica? Yeah. Exactly. Why not Everybody. Why everyone? I think it's, it's it's a it's a place where everyone when everyone thinks about wine today or the wine, whatever one thinks of verona, probably due to also in Italy naturally. But, but verona, it's easy to arrive. It's it's historic. We are in a quite beautiful wine region here. So it has all the checks. So why not here, basically? Right. So so and we're lucky enough to be in this beautiful villa. Yeah. And if you want to know, the villa belongs to the son of the cousin of my grandmother. Oh, yeah. Why? Of course. You guys are all it's like so incestual, you guys, you know, everybody is married to the other. Everybody's a cousin. Exactly. Exactly. So so we are we're family to this. One last question. Give us kind of a small overview of the twenty one vintage. Well, twenty one vintage is well known, as of Italy and ours of here, as a vintage were quite a bit at the beginning, I would say, of the, in April, especially suffered from some frost. And then during the the summer, we had some mild, some dry weather, and some rain at the end, some scale. We are very afraid of the rain during the harvest. Some very courageous shuttle decided to not pick too too early, and they were well paid off by the quality that we received. This year, I would say we are back to what bordeaux, used to be. I would say so much fresher wine, much more elegant wine, not very body build it, but with so much more I would say this year. Let me ask you one last, last personal question. When did you decide to get into the family? I mean, wine business? Well, interestingly enough, my, my father, I I grew up naturally in Florence and, like, the at those, Vignans, and nephew. But my father never pushed this on me or my siblings. He wants us to make our own choices in terms of what we wanted to do when we are all there in terms of job. So What did you study? I studied international business in the providence, you know, you, American, you in Rhode Island, the US, and then I came to Bordeaux for a master program, for, wine, management. No. It's, Bordeaux Sien Seguro. It's it's called Anita, which is more an engineer school for for wine. And, and then when I arrived in Bordeaux, I think I think there was so much passion doing the master program on the wines and so on, but maybe a hundred percent sure that I really wanted to to be in this world and to discover. Exactly. And and working with a French company made me realize that there isn't only quality in Italy, naturally, not with my family, not only with my family, I would say, but everywhere in the world. So, France in bordeaux in in Chile, and and, that's why I'm so happy to be in bordeaux with an egosian because it has given me, it gives me so much opportunity to taste so much quality around the world. And sometimes people ask me what's the best wine in in the world? What's and, like, the the ache and they're all great. You just you just have to be curious and go and look for them. Okay. Well, I think that's a good way to, wrap this up. Be curious and follow your dreams. Kind of very romantic. Still very young, you know, untainted Prescobaldi from Covindri Verona at all places. Okay. Cheers. Got it. Ciao. Okay. That's a wrap. Thank you for joining us on another installment of On The Road Edition, Hosted by Stev Kim.
